What Is The Next Treatment After Steel And Concrete Surface Preparation?

A new piece of cloth sewn to patch a hole in dress or shirt usually shrinks. Similarly, a new concrete will not stick well to the parent or existing concrete. But let that not stop you from carrying out the next step in concrete roof repairs.

The market is flooded but not yet saturated with various products to make the new concrete or concrete repair material stick well onto the parent concrete and steel reinforcement bars.  One good tip is to choose a cementitious bonding product or agent. Such products do not have any time limitation in application. You do not have to rush or worry about re-application after the products are dried up.

Another tip is to choose a cementitious bonding agent that can be applied both to concrete and steel surfaces because it can save you time and cost. After applying this bonding agent, you can proceed to applying the concrete repair product. The cementitious bonding agent must be applied to the whole circumference of the steel reinforcement bars and the concrete surface behind these bars.

A concrete repair product is used to replace the removed cracked concrete. If budget is limited, new concrete can be used instead. But it is not advisable because the end result is only for short term only.
